I'm back...

It has been forever since I have posted anything....I must be just STUPID, STUPID, STUPID. Did you get that...S-T-U-P-I-D. I can not figure this stuff out. I look at other blogs and they are so cute with so much added stuff. I want to know how to do it! UGH!!!! I am so aggravated. Can you tell? I tried to add a "button" (I think that is what it is called) to support a friend of mine and I can't even do that!!!!!

Anyway, life is continuing to roll right along. Darin got a new job at Severstal and is loving it! He is really enjoying not having to deal with the public. If you have ever had to work with the public, you know that not having to deal with the many walks of life is wonderful.

A few weeks ago we were able to go to the NHRA races again in Memphis. We are die hard Force fans. Well, at least I am. I think it is safe to say that for our entire family. If you have never been to a NHRA event, you need to. There are no words to explain the rush you get from just sitting in the stands as those cars do 300 miles per hour in less than 3 seconds. I do believe that next year Darin and I will go alone with no kids. We may take Taylor, but Jacob has got to stay home. After he saw the first cars run, he was finished....Ready to go play. I love my kids, but want so badly to have some "alone" time with Darin. I am at work as I post this so I do not have any of the photos from this year with me on this computer. I will post a few pics from previous years since they are all I have at the moment with me.

Taylor is cheering again this year and seems to really enjoy doing that. She cheered her 1st game of the season this past weekend and it was rainy and cool. I ended up going back to the house to get jackets for us to wear. Jacob is busy just being all boy. He never stops. I wonder where he gets all of that energy from?

Well that's enough for now. Later...

T-Ball

I just had to share this video of Jacob playing T-Ball. Too funny! I still laugh everytime I view it. I actually was trying to get him playing in the dirt. Once I realized that I had my camera in my purse and got it ready, one of the coaches walked over and made him stand up. I went ahead and made a video anyway to capture the moment. I hope you enjoy it as much as I have.

A day to ourselves!!!!!

I can not believe that Darin and I were alone this past Sunday! Yippee!!!!! That is so rare for us. We always feel so guilty when we do something and it does not include the kids. Taylor went to spend the day with my mom and Jacob went with Darin's mom for the day. Boy oh boy did we have fun! Darin loves to race and normally goes to the races on Sunday afternoon. We used to do this (back in the day of dating) many moons ago. Now, I usually stay home with the kids while he goes and plays. This Sunday was different...I was able to go. It brought back so many memories. My hubby ran his car down the track several times and one every time! I rode a couple of times and it was exciting and a little scary. I even got to take a few pictures and a video.

We look forward to being able to get away again real soon. I think this time, we'll try a over the night trip. Sounds like fun!!!!!!

Jacob's Day Out with Thomas!

We had such a great time this past weekend on our outing to Birmingham. As I mentioned in my previous post, we took Jacob to ride on Thomas the train. Jacob is all boy and loves trains. He has been begging me to ride on a train and I came across this event and knew that we had to do it. Taylor dreaded going, but loved it once we got there. We all enjoyed ourselves. It is nice to be able to get away and do things as a family. We have not been able to do much of that in the past, but I am making it a point to change that! Life is all about making memories. After spending time at the Heart of Dixie Railroad Museum, we left for the Galleria. Shopping and a lot of looking!!!!!! Fun! Fun! It is a shame that we do not have a mall like that (even 1/2 of that) closer to us! It had been years since I had been there but it was as big as I remembered. Taylor could not believe it. After walking around there, we headed to T-Town to eat...Olive Garden! I just love that place. I must be part Italian. I could eat there daily! Yum! Makes my mouth water just thinking about it! We were all so tired at the end of the day....but it was well worth it! I'll post pictures soon.

Why do Monday's seem to come around so quickly? I can tell this is going to be a long week. We are taking Jacob to ride on Thomas the train on Saturday. Every morning he asks, "Are we going to ride on Thomas today?" Poor thing, he has no concept of time. I learned my lesson on this one. Next time we plan a special day, I'll keep it to myself until the day of!

What was I thinking?

I am rethinking this blogging stuff.....I do not know how to do anything on here! At least I figured out how to post! Unfortunately, that's it. It all seems a little complicated! And for some reason, my picture is at the bottom of my blog, not the top! Can someone please shed some light on this subject to get me started?

Let's try it one more time!

OK....I'm guilty of setting this blog up and then ending it there. Nothing more. I consider myself computer ignorant. I was just not ready to tackle the project of learning this blogging stuff. I mean keeping up with my myspace and facebook is enough, right? I enjoy getting online and looking at everyone elses blog. (I am a very nosey person...It comes natural!) Now don't judge me on that....You know you are nosey and enjoy looking at everyone's stuff too! I get very bored at work and find myself with nothing to do. There is only so much you can search and look at on the internet. It does, however, help pass the time. I feel like I know people that I have never even met before. Does this make me a stalker? Gee, that sounds awful! I am hardly that! I have come across some very interesting blogs...some that have even been tear jerkers. I have sat at my desk many times just crying and praying. Anyway, I said all of that to say this, I am going to give it a try again! Maybe this time I will have better luck.
